US Marine Corps Course of Instruction in U.S. Carbine, Cal. .30, M1 (1945)

This 30 page technical manual was produced as a "Course of Instruction" at US Marine Corps Schools, Quantico, Virginia in 1945. The course was set up for half a day. The first hour covered the Disassembly and Assembly of the M1 Carbine. The second hour of instruction dealt with the care, cleaning, and functioning of the M1 Carbine. The third hour of instruction covered operation, safety, stoppages, and immediate corrective action to be taken by the operator of the M1 Carbine. Finally, the fourth hour dealt with spare parts, accessories, and ammunition. This is designed as a basic overview of the M1 Carbine.

The manual consisted of several numbered plates illustrating various operations of the carbine itself.
